If you quit going to church, why?

I quit going to church for a while, but I have started going back. I went through some really difficult times in my personal life and I took my anger out on God. Thankfully He still loved me enough not to leave me though. I don't have a church home, but I am visiting different ones. I agree that there are many hypocrites in the church (some even act like bigger devils than unsaved people), but that excuse will not fly with God when we stand before Him. If you keep your focus on humans, you will eventually be let down because we are all fallible beings who fail. Keep your heart, mind, soul and eyes focused on God. Put God on a pedestal and not the pastor, deacons, elders, ushers, Sunday school teachers or mother board. When "church people" hurt you, forgive them and keep worshipping and praising God. If you have been really hurt by someone in your church, you might have to leave and find another church home (I did.). Whatever you do, do not let others be your excuse for why you did not accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
