Should I bug my family for this?

It does sound pretty good, but the major drawback is its really really small screen, the control ons don't look that great either. It's more of a budget MP3. But you can buy the same MP3 with 2GB off eBay for only $60+shipping, all you need is an SD card which isn't that expensive. I would recommend a creative zen MP3 instead.
